This home posed a huge hurdle, with too many doors, not enough cabinets, and everything in the wrong place. The floorplan needed to be updated to accommodate the lives of modern families. Thankfully, the existing structure provided us with opportunities. We opened the wall between the dining room and kitchen to create a useful breakfast bar, integrating the kitchen into living and dining rooms. Next, we moved another doorway to allow for circular traffic flow, resulting in more wall space for cabinetry. The attractive cabinetry, modern appliances, and remnant granite finished the transformation. Now the kitchen is not only beautiful, but completely functional for years to come.
